North Devon Leisure Contract

Do you want to work at the newest most prestigious leisure facility in North Devon?

We are seeking to recruit motivated, enthusiastic, flexible and customer focussed people to join our team at Tarka Leisure Centre in Barnstaple North Devon.

Tarka Leisure Centre is the most modern leisure facility in the North Devon locality and will provide a 25m swimming pool, 20 metre learner pool, sports hall, state of the art gym, spin studio and 2 x group exercise studios and indoor ski facility as well as the current indoor and outdoor tennis courts and all weather pitch.

The Centre will open in May 2022. This role is immediately available and will commence in the current North Devon Leisure Centre and transfer to the new centre on opening.

Based in the North Devon Leisure Contract you will be working between North Devon Leisure Centre in Barnstaple and Ilfracombe Swimming Pool & Gym.

Ilfracombe Swimming Pool & Gym has a 25m main pool and a learner pool alongside a 30+ station gym.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Swimming Lesson Manager to manage our swimming programmes in accordance with the National Teaching Plan, and to ensure that our brand is promoted throughout the site.

You will be instrumental in growing the programme ready for the eagerly anticipated completion of the new Tarka Leisure Centre.

You will need to possess exceptional personable skills and form working relationships with Industry Organisations whilst adhering to our Philosophy of Quality, Care and Excellence. You will be required to maintain a high level of knowledge within the industry and hold relevant qualifications to be supplemented by Continuous Professional Development.

You will be required to work in a way which may include some early mornings, evenings and weekends to suit the needs of the Swimming Lesson Programme
