This is an outstanding career opportunity with a not for profit charitable organisation committed to providing a diverse and meaningful range of leisure and culture related activities for the local communities in which we serve.

This post is located in the Vale of Glamorgan and responsible for five sites: Barry Leisure Centre, Penarth Leisure Centre, LLantwit Major Leisure Centre, Cowbridge Sports Centre and Colcot Sports Centre. The contract is currently undergoing a £600k refurbishment to gyms and studios, the majority of which will be completed by late 2022. Commercial drive as well as a real understanding of the importance of increasing participation across all facilities is essential to success in this position.

The Opportunity

  • Multi Site Management
  • Long Contract to December 2029

The Person

  • Applicants will ideally have a recognised qualification in Leisure Management, Sports Development or a related subject preferably to degree level or NVQ 3 or a minimum of Five years experience in a senior management role.
  • A proven track record in managing and developing multi site Sports & Leisure facilities the post holder will ideally have achieved a presence within the industry that ensures personal credibility.
  • An awareness of the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act and how Leisure Services can deliver on this agenda
  • Proven track record in Health and Safety Management in leisure facilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work flexibly as the role will occasionally require working unsocial working hours
  • An ability to to gain acceptance and respect from the staff teams, the client and key stakeholders teams
  • Reliable and confident in making key decisions
